Апстракт

This paper presents a synthetic and analytically grounded overview of twenty-five years of publishing activity of EthnoAnthropoZoom, the peer-reviewed journal of the Institute of Ethnology and Anthropology at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics, Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje. Drawing on an examination of the journal’s printed volumes, its electronic edition (https://etno.pmf.ukim.mk/index.php/eaz), impressum sections, and published abstracts, the study evaluates the journal’s institutional positioning, editorial mission, and evolving scholarly profile.

The analysis addresses key dimensions of the journal’s development, including its languages of publication and accessibility, editorial structure and internationalization, indexing practices and digital infrastructure (including DOI registration and open access policy), publication history, and genre composition. In addition, the paper offers a longitudinal content analysis, identifying thematic clusters and shifts in research priorities across different periods.

Particular attention is devoted to the most recent issues (2021–2024), which demonstrate a marked strengthening of anthropological discourse, memory studies, postsocialist scholarship, and innovative digital methodologies in the study and preservation of cultural heritage. By situating EthnoAnthropoZoom within broader regional and disciplinary developments, the paper reflects on its contribution to the consolidation and international visibility of ethnology and anthropology in North Macedonia.
