CALL FOR SUBMISSIONS FOR TWO ISSUES OF THE JOURNAL “PHILOLOGICAL STUDIES” – FOR 2026
We invite you to submit papers for two issues of the international Slavic journal “Philological Studies” for 2026. The first issue will be a standard one from the journal’s recognizable section:
• Philosophical and cultural problems;
• History and philology;
• “Word” in a historical and cultural context;
• Literature in an intercultural context;
• Contemporary society in culture, language and literature;
• The study of speech and linguistic didactics;
• Reviews and information.
The second issue will be dedicated to the topic “Slavic canons and classics: intercultural reception in the 21st century”.
The thematic issue of the journal "Philological studies" for 2026 will be dedicated to the topic "Slavic Canons and Classics: Intercultural Reception in the 21st Century" within the following thematic areas:
• Slavic Cultural Canons Today: Intercultural Context;
• Alternative Canons;
• Canons and Socio-Historical Contexts;
• Canons and Classics Online;
• Canons and Classics in Translation;
• Reception of Classics in Contemporary Criticism;
• Adaptations of Classics: Theater, Film, Music, Video Games, Other Media;
• Slavic Classics in Curricula in Primary, Secondary, and Higher Education;
• Classics at Cultural Festivals
The papers must be submitted to the Editorial Office or via the journal platform no later than April 10. 2026.
All papers must be prepared in accordance with the instructions for authors available on the journal's website.
Author Information
Information about the author should be placed after the title, adjusted to the right, in the following order: Name, Middle Name, Surname. Full name of the organization ORCID (Open Researcher and Contributor ID, if applicable), author email. Town, Country. Information should be given both in English and in the language of the article.
The "Registration Form" containing information about the author must be attached to the article.
The authors are personally responsible for the graphic and textual materials included in the paper and must obtain a license if they are obtained from third parties. The journal disclaims any responsibility if the published articles contain materials (illustrations, tables, and textual elements) that are subject to third-party copyright.
