Abstract

The research has been made in order to determine whether there is a relation between the gender, the characteristics extraversion-introversion and recognition of the emotions among the students. A sample of 96 students from the Institute of Social work and Social Policy has been used for that purpose, 72 of which were female and 24 male.
The characteristics extraversion - introversion have been measured with subscale for measuring the personal dimension extraversion - introversion from the Aisenk’s questionnaire EPQ. The recognition of the emotions has been measured with questionnaire made for that purpose from the person doing the research. From the results, the following conclusions have been made:
o Female students recognise the emotions easier than the male students;
There is no evident difference in recognition of the emotions between extravert and introvert students;
• Female extravert students recognise the emotions easier than the male extravert students;
• There is no evident difference in recognition of the emotions between introvert female and introvert male students;
There is no evident difference in recognition of the emotions between male extravert and male introvert students;
• Extravert female students recognise the emotions easier then introvert female students.
