The work titled „In the World of Simulacra and Simulations “ is dedicated to the views of Jean Baudrillard, who developed an impressive and extreme theory of post-modern civilization, in which he announces the end of the modern industrial society and heralds the coming of the new post-modern society. The development of the information and communication technology brought about a revolution in the development of modern industrial societies and opens the road to the new era in civilization, „era of simulacra and simulations'‘ in which new forms of technology, culture and society are developed. Baudrillard anticipates the new social order as „a new technological order", „new environment", „a new field in everyday life", ,,a new mortality", and a new form of „hyper civilization".
His detailed analyses of the new communication technology, the mass media and culture, as fundamental mechanisms of establishing new forms of power and domination over subjects, contribute to making clear the new courses of modern capitalist societies and offer a critical answer for the time in we live in.
