Dear readers,
The meaning of every research work depends on the international collaboration, because no scientific area can spryly develop without promotion, communication and comparison to the cultural environments. We are very pleased that in this twelfth edition of the journal Philological Studies (www.philologicalstudies.org), the Institute of Macedonian Literature from the University “Ss. Cyril and Methodius” in Skopje, with its partners, in 2014 published 56 articles and papers by renowned and many young authors from different Slavic centres (Perm, Ljubljana, Skopje, Zagreb, Belgrade, Washington, Bratislava, Stip, Osijek, Maribor, Banja Luka, Bitola).
This year we have expanded our Editorial board by including the Institute for Literature and Arts from Belgrade (Serbia) as the fifth equal partner, along with the Institute of Macedonian Literature in Skopje (Macedonia), the Department of Philology at Perm State University (Russia), the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Zagreb (Croatia), and the Faculty of Philosophy at the University of Ljubljana (Slovenia).
We can say that the content of this year’s edition of Philological Studies will acquire great interest in the world, because of the diversity and stratification of the presented spiritual wealth. We can also say that the presented material offers a unique perception of the civilization heritage, since there is a close examination of its characteristics in a modern manner with a critical spirit immanent to the present time.
